1) When a young musician first joins a band program, renting an instrument is always the most economical option for parents.
NOT TRUE
When renting a school band instrument you start at Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). This will cost you an average of $30 per month (approximately twice as much for Sax). This will most certainly be over $1000 (approximately twice as much for Sax) throughout the course of the program.
At “Rockys Music” the first thing we will do is discount the MSRP.
2) Only a rental program takes away the obstacle of a big up-front payment.

With 6 month same as cash financing through PayPal you pay NOTHING UP FRONT and NO INTEREST for 6 months.
With “Rockys Music” program you can layaway at the end of the school year and make four equal payments. Your instrument could be paid for completely by the beginning of the next school year.

3) Only renting will make it easy to own the clarinet or even upgrade to a more advanced model when the time is right.

With “Rockys Music” program you can always upgrade to a horn that is already discounted. This can cost 1/2 as much as a rental program over time.

4) MAINTENANCE & REPLACEMENT PLAN
This service will give you the cheapest resources to keep the instrument playing its best, as well as assisting with replacement if it’s lost or stolen.
NOT TRUE
With “Rockys Music” program you are buying a NEW HORN with a one year Manufacturers warranty. Why pay for an additional maintenance plan. A horn that is taken care of properly will rarely need repair in the first couple years.
“Assisting with replacement" does NOT mean that they will replace it. Most homeowners insurance policies will cover the replacement.
“Rockys Music” will offer local repairs and/or loaners discussed as the need occurs.
5) UPGRADE PROVISIONS
It’s not unusual for a student to advance beyond the beginner level before the first rental term is up. Only a rented instrument provides an upgrade path to intermediate and professional instruments.

Instruments purchased from “Rockys Music” can be upgraded anytime. We offer fair trade in values for upgrade instruments which are already discounted off MSRP.
If you do the math you will find this to be much cheaper than upgrading within a rental program.
6) RENT-TO-OWN AND BUYOUTS
As an alternative to upgrading, you may have the option to apply a portion of your rental fees toward the purchase of the instrument if you wish to keep it.

7) EASY RETURN AND EXCHANGE OPTIONS
Children have a tendency to change their minds, so make sure your chosen rental program lets you return or exchange your rental anytime.
Instruments purchased from “Rockys Music” can be upgraded anytime. We offer fair trade in values for upgrades. The upgrades are already discounted off MSRP.
If a student chooses Band he is normally in there for the year. 12 rental payments times $30 is $360.00 non-refundable.
If you do the math you will find this to be much cheaper than upgrading from a rental program.
At "Rockys Music" $360.00 is within a few dollars of owning most instruments.
8) REPAIR AND ADJUSTMENTS
Most rental providers have official service shop networks or even their own in-house repair sites, so you can get repairs when you need them.

In most cases you have to wait. Since the competitors repair shop is in another city you may have to wait a couple weeks or more.
At “Rockys Music” we will take care of you right away. We are only 2 miles from the local school. If the repair takes longer than expected we will discuss a loaner.
